Here's a surprise for you for this month: God is still good. I mean, He is still good. His goodness hasn't changed. He has been good to us this summer and (surprise, surprise), He is continuing to be good to us.
The conferences have been going very well and we've been blessed by our Summer of Service crew this year. They're great and we wouldn't be where we are with this summer's conference season without this team. This week and next we are please to be hosting a group of Wycliffe Bible Translators as they take care of some business and just seek to be refreshed. Calvary Chapel Budapest, Hungary will finish off the summer with two weeks of conferences.
A Vision for Life discipleship school has been amazing. Great classes by some of our pastors here and some great all around ministry happening inside and outside the classroom. Pastor Mark led a team along with the students on a trip to Slovenia where they spent several days camping, rafting, doing various ropes courses, and just plain seeking the Lord Jesus in His beautiful creation.
HANG ON!!!Pastor Paul and I had the privilege of baptizing a couple of our students this month. Please keep Morgan, Jared, and Richard in prayer as they continue to walk with the Lord Jesus.
Please also pray for Christi as has recently found out that she has high blood pressure. Not the best news in the world, but... yeah, you guessed it: God is still good! She is doing well and is trying to "control the controlables."
Christi and Ian and I are looking forward to something very new for us in a few weeks: a conference! I mean, a conference to attend! We're going to Austria for the Missions Conference and are looking forward to a good time with friends and family and meeting some new friends and... enjoying some time hearing the Word of God being taught. Please pray for that! We could use it for sure!
Jurica: we are still looking for information and are sooo grateful for our friends, Laci and Keri Nemeth in Croatia that are working hard to help collect that information for us. As it turns out, Laci has a pastor friend in Rijeka (where Jurica is right now) that has some connections with the Croatian Social Care system. We'll take all the miracles we can get at this point and we're looking at this as a miracle indeed.
