JANUARY 2008
And here we are... yet another month and yet another year. June will mark four years for us serving with Calvary Chapel Reaching Europe.
So, we're back home in Hungary after a great visit to California. We enjoyed Christmas with with Jeremy's family and his brother Glen's wedding.
Snow greeted us in Vajta, but it has since melted off and it has been well into the 40's lately (insert "Sigh" here). Christi's brother Anthony and his wife Kourtney came with Stephen Dickerson from CC North Plainfield, NJ with the gift of a new sound system (and its installation) for the school. It was a great time with them as well.
We had a bit of a scare with Kara - she and Mikayla developed pretty nasty coughs. Christi had to take her to the doctor in the middle of the night because she woke up and really wasn't getting much for air. She's a trooper though: Jeremy was putting her in the car and she was worried about... who was going to stay with Ian and her sisters. She's fine now and is back to her normal spunky self.
Ian will be 8 (EIGHT!!!!) on Thursday (the 31st) and we're still trying to figure out how he got to be so old already. We imagine that he'll be heading off to college before we know it... (insert "Sigh #2" here).
School starts on Monday and we're all looking forward to a great time with old and new students. We have a great group of interns as well as a really great class schedule. It looks like God wants to do something special with this next four and a half months. Please pray for all of us!
We're also looking forward to Monday evening (February 4th) because we'll be watching the Super Bowl with a bunch of the staff and students (we will not be staying up for the game - the game is schedule to start at midnight our time ["Sigh #3"], and no, we will not be staying up for that). Why do we write this? Because we're missionaries and we will be really bummed if anyone calls to tell us the outcome of the game before we watch it. Jeremy asked the IT department to shut off all phone systems and internet access until the game has been viewed... to no avail (yeah, "Sigh #4).
Please pray for Jeremy's Grandma Wilma, she had a stroke on the 30th of January - she's OK, but she needs the Lord's touch!
